Dear John

Refuge Foundation for the Arts is thrilled to announce our second album release from our friends Robert Ellis & Courtney Hartman titled Dear John.

We’d like to send many thanks to The Bluegrass Situation for premiering our first track off the album ‘Gentle on My Mind’ – which was written by John Hartford whom the album is a tribute to, and made iconic by Glen Campbell. This song is now live on Spotify!

“Utilizing the bones of the past to pave way to the future, they prove that timeless and gentle can still cut as deep.” – The Bluegrass Situation Check out this article about the release from Rolling Stone here.

Past/Future Events: Tom Petty Tribute

On Friday co-founder Cory Chisel hosted a Tom Petty tribute at the Refuge Lounge. Thank you to all those who were in attendance! We reached capacity over an hour before the event started, so we apologize to those of you who didn’t make it in. But YOU GOT LUCKY dear friends, because we WON’T BACK DOWN. Another Tom Petty tribute may be in your future. Now all you need to worry about is THE WAITING…it’s the hardest part.

Past Events: An Evening with Cory Chisel and Refuge Artists

Many don’t know, but Refuge Foundation for the Arts houses many different types of artists – we are not limited to just musicians. This past Saturday, we celebrated our visual artists for a private art sale with our friends Stephanie Long and Andy Hetzel. They graciously hosted a fundraising event for our Refuge visual artists. All of the art in the event was made at the Refuge building, and was all successfully sold by the end of the night! Proceeds benefited both our local artists, and also Refuge Foundation for the Arts.

Holiday Mischief

Our Holiday Mischief show takes place on December 14th with Cory Chisel, Adriel Denae, the Appleton Boychoir, and other special guests welcoming the holiday season. Tickets can be purchased online below, or you can buy a physical ticket at the Refuge Lounge. We are also offering a Sustainability Package that will include priority seating & early admission, a Holiday Toast with Cory & Adriel, a limited edition signed poster, and more! All proceeds benefit the Refuge Foundation for the Arts.
