Refuge Journal 49

Co-Founder Cory Chisel is going to get you into the holiday spirit with a playlist filled with some of his favorite holiday tunes! You can take a listen here.

Refuge Arts is hosting a Holiday sale from now until December 21st! You can get 25% off all items in our webstore and free shipping on all domestic orders with the code REFUGEHOLIDAZE. The proceeds of your purchase are split between the artists who created the work and the programs that Refuge Arts is working on to enrich our community. Thank you for your continued support!

We are proud to announce that online tickets for An Evening of Holiday Mischief are SOLD OUT! There are currently 18 physical tickets left at the Exclusive Company in Appleton and all sales support us in our mission to help transform communities through the Arts.

The last wave of online tickets were purchased by community members to gift to other members in need.
Boys and Girls Club, Homeless Connections, and Big Brothers Big Sisters are the recipients of these gifts and we are so looking forward to sharing an evening of music and celebration with all attending next Friday, December 21st, at Lawrence Memorial Chapel.

We want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the individuals and businesses in our community who help to foster the dreams of what may seem unattainable without the support of one another. The spirit of our community relies on compassionate intention and generous action and we are honored to work alongside you.

This year Cory Chisel and Adriel Denae will be joined by Stelth Ulvang of the Lumineers, Dorota Ulvang, LOLO, Shannon Shaw of Shannon and the Clams, Sam Trump, J-Council, and DJ Ross Grizzly. They’ll be singing your favorite classic tunes, along with some new original versions.

Thank you for voting for the Levitt AMP Grant! We are partnering with On Broadway, Inc. in Green Bay in hopes of receiving the Levitt AMP Grant which could help us create a new Music Series with original, local, and national artists. Your votes have been counted and Green Bay made it to the top 25 contenders, making them one step closer to winning matching funds to present their own Levitt AMP Music Series! 10 winners from the top 25 will be announced on December 18th, so stay tuned!

On Broadway, Inc. is one of three downtown revitalization organizations in Green Bay, and over 23 years the district has experienced a remarkable transformation from one of the city’s most avoided areas due to crime and unsafe conditions to one of the city’s most active and vibrant districts filled with boutiques, entertainment, restaurants and historic renovations. On Broadway hosts many successful events including Wisconsin’s second largest farmers market, igNight Market, the Fourth of July celebration and our own Hopeland festival which attracts foot traffic to the area throughout the year.

The Levitt AMP Music Series will reflect the essence of the Levitt AMP Grant award with a goal to restore the thriving music scene Green Bay once held in the 1980s by providing the community with opportunities to discover and appreciate diverse musical expressions and in so doing, bringing people together.
