Hopeland Festival 2018 created by John Behrens with partners at Fox Communities Credit Union

Refuge Arts is proud to partner with Fox Communities Credit Union, Wisconsin Public Radio, and 4th HOOAH for Hopeland Festival, coming up in just two weeks!

4th HOOAH Wisconsin is a regional chapter of the national parent HOOAH Inc. 4th HOOAH lends support to veterans and their families through a network of advocacy programs and a distinguished level of understanding, compassion, and empathy. Hopeland Festival will specifically support two of the many programs under the HOOAH Inc. brand, Operation Cold Snap and Guitars for Vets.

Operation Cold Snap provides warmth and efficiency to our region’s veterans in the vulnerable winter months. In conjunction with Apex Heating and Air Conditioning, Operation Cold Snap administers complete tune-ups, safety inspections, energy efficiency upgrades, repairs and, in many cases, brand new high efficiency furnaces to veterans free of charge. Guitars for Vets provides the healing, hopeful power of music instruction to veterans. Participants in this program take ten free individual guitar lessons and receive a free guitar and the therapeutic gift of music upon completion of the tenth lesson. Proceeds from Hopeland Festival will benefit both programs.

We now have a Hopeland playlist on Spotify! This playlist showcases our diverse lineup of musicians, so take a listen and hear the variety of talent that will be there!

Our goal with Hopeland Festival is to celebrate our community through creative collaborations with artists, local businesses and community organizations. We want to share a thoughtful exchange together and a glimpse into what our region has to offer while asking the question: how can the arts add value to our shared experience?Hopeland Festival is a free, all-ages, two-day experience of live music and visual art taking place in the On Broadway district of Green Bay. We are partnering with local businesses including Kavarna, Keggers, Lyric Room, Black & Tan Lounge, Neville Public Museum, Three Three Five, Cup O Joy, Titletown Brewing Company Roof Tap, and with Fox Communities Credit Union who are generously helping to make this gift to our community possible.
