No Matter What - Annual Supporter Event - Appleton

Last Wednesday, we hosted Planned Parenthood’s annual supporter event, No Matter What. Planned Parenthood Wisconsin supporters gathered to build collective power and courage to protect reproductive health care and educations in the Fox Valley.

Artist and activist Kelly Parks Snider spoke on Women Against Hate United By Love, a traveling art exhibition and anti-hate campaign that decorated our building during the event. The exhibition is a series of portraits and stories created with printmakers Leigh Garcia and Rachel Griffin and collaborating activists with the goals of counteracting hateful rhetoric, giving love a voice, and recognizing our community members who are working to shift away from fear and hate. Snider states, “for many, visual art is a more powerful amplifier of contemporary issues and ideas than the spoken or written word. Art brings people together, and creates a safe environment to explore highly charged topics.” For more information, visit We Are Women Against Hate.

Thank you to all who came out to support the event, to visual artists Chad Brady and Ally Wilber who created pieces for the event, performers Nikki MorganAdriel DenaeCory Chisel and Rev. Sekou. Thank you to president and CEO Tanya Atkinson, keynote speaker Kelly Parks Snider, and the board and staff of Planned Parenthood for standing with our community to protect rights for all.
